I'm fine reverting this patch. However, the runbook specifically said to enable
this property. Do we have buy-in from the HDFS team on this? Won't this affect
long running jobs?
Also, why was this re-opened? Is there any work to perform? Seems like we're
saying that we never needed to set this, so the Jira has nothing actionable.
