Hi Ambari team! A group of us here at Pivotal have been quite active in recent months working on Ambari features that support Apache HAWQ (incubating). We have developed sufficient skills and expertise and would like to expand the scope of our contributions to other areas of Ambari.
We hope that this kind of expanded scope can eventually end up qualifying us to be considered members of the project on a more permanent basis AKA project committers. We would also like to know what are the criteria for becoming an Ambari committer. We recognize it is only through merit that this could happen, but at the same time we will appreciate your guidance and suggestions on which areas / epics or features we can focus for our contributions to benefit the project in the most meaningful way.
