Yes branch-2.2 is still open, but next release from there is a maintenance
release (2.2.1), i.e. mostly criticals/blockers should be committed. If this is
going to cause a deployment issue then we should take this in 2.2.1. If its
code cleanup we should park it in trunk for next release.
