[~aantonenko] I looked into this issue myself out of curiosity.
I built Ambari branch-2.2 from this

(both before you reverted the commit of AMBARI-15256)
With these Ambari builds, I deployed HDP 2.4 stack with a bunch of services:
HDFS, YARN, MAPREDUCE2, HBASE, HIVE, PIG, TEZ, AMBARI METRICS and ZOOKEEPER.
The host details page was showing all the host components that I had installed
(through manual wizard installation).
I was checking the console log at the same time, and there was no instance
where commandMap was undefined. Do you remember which service's host component
caused the issue? Possibly, a service component which I hadn't deployed caused
the issue.
The *if* condition introduced by [~adenissov] in the new set of patches should
solve the issue you might have seen. I've seen that the new patches work on HDP
cluster without any host components disappearing.
I'm committing the new patches to trunk and branch-2.2. If the commit breaks
something again, it should be because of some nasty edge case (which doesn't
happen with the main/core services) - you may log a bug and I'd be happy to
drill down the root cause and fix it.
