Hi all, Hadoop 3.0 is starting to come online so please be mindful that any changes you make to the existing services (definitions, configs, python files, etc) may also need to be included in Hadoop 3.0. HDP 3.0 is not inheriting from previous stacks in order to reduce the complexity of inheriting all the way from HDP 2.0.6; for this reason, I've created new versions in common-services for HDFS (3.0.0.3.0), YARN (3.0.0.3.0), and ZK (3.4.9). Over time, the rest of the services will each have their own version there as well.
This flattening means that any changes you make to metainfo.xml kerberos.json widgets.json config xml files python files etc will also have to be included in the newer version of the service for Hadoop 3.0.
