FWIW, just wanted to say that I'm interested in re-visting annotation libraries for https://github.com/linkeddata/dokieli , and Apache Annotator will be the first thing I'll look closely. dokieli has its own annotator going but I'd like to replace as much of that possible with modular components that's community maintained. I don't want to make major promises here and I know that it may be too little (and too late) considering the history of the work here and what's needed to keep it "alive" but ideally anything that dokieli needs (improved or extended) can be made here / upstream.
