Thanks for replying! Like all Apache projects, we're certainly looking for developers. The best way to begin, though, is by sending pull requests and getting involved in conversation threads here.
The greatest area of need is probably folks attempting to use what's there now and writing tests for that code. We also have some highlighter code in the website repo [1] that could use some attention, upgrading, and improving. Hope that helps!
