jar update fails with "Unable to rename old file to temporary file"

Thanks for the prompt response. It was indeed a case of file locking. And the
lock was held by ant itself (a custom ant task had the jar file still open). 

The error message did get me a bit puzzled: at first, it is difficult to relate
the message to the task of updating a jar. Maybe include the name of the file
that could not be moved.
