In any case I am starting to think about ant 1.7 and further.
Here are the points which spring to my mind :
1) local properties,
2) roles,
3) get the xdocs proposal out,
4) think about virtual file system abstractions, and do something
about them,
5) fix some popular bugs from bugzilla
How about access levels for targets too? In my patch to this effect (bug
22020) I addressed this from the perspective of command line invocation,
but it was suggested that it would be better to come up with a solution
that also related to use of targets by imports, the ant task, etc... and
that a change that large should wait till 1.7. Now would seem to be the
time to start a discussion and figure out what is desired here.
