Bug 20344 is a feature change which will allow you to specify an XmlRecorder in the record task, as oppose to having to refer to it on the command line. With this change, you can record a section of the build into an XML file and later transform it with an XSL without leaving the build script.
It's been two years (2003-05-29) since I first submitted the change. Since then, ant has moved forward and two people have shown interest in using the patch. Looking back on the original patch, I seemed to have screwed it up somehow. So I've updated the changes to compile against the ANT_162 tag and attached them to the bug.
