I need it for non-critical tasks, so unless it's slow enough to bother a
human user waiting for it once or twice a day, it won't be an issue at all.

FYI - This selector is not very efficient. I don't remember the
specifics, since it's been a while since I wrote it.

Thanks. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like more than I could
have hoped for. I was half-way expecting to have to capture
a ClearCase
"lsco" externally, and "filtering" it to wrap it with fileset
XML syntax
so it could be imported, but wanted to ask the forum first.

Wayne, Currently there is no fileset selector available to select
checked out clearcase files. Fortunately though, I have
written one. Ant
developers would probably not want this added to the Ant
project but I
have created an enhancement request, just in case
(http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43368).
The source
and documentation are attached to the enhancement request.
I think they would point me to the clearAntLib project
(http://www.buildmeister.com/clearantlib/). I sent the lead
developer a
message about this and hopefully they are interested.

Subject: Computed fileset
I want to perform sets of operations on a computed fileset --
e.g., the
list of files currently checked-out from the SCM (ClearCase).
What general approach would you recommend? I'll ferret out
the details,
but would appreciate a pointer from which to get started
in the right
direction for my thinking. Currently, I don't have a good
feel for
where to start. There have been a number of similar
topics discussed
recently, but if this was covered, I didn't pick up on it.
