I've not had enough time to cut the release this week end, it seems the remaining work and some late bug fixes were on my way.
The good news is that everything should be ready for the release, the only thing to do now is to follow the documentation [1]. This includes RELEASE_NOTES review and some other tasks that I'm not ready to do right now, I need some sleep. Hopefully this will let you sometime to review the current state of the code base before I actually make the release (hopefully tomorrow night). I've made quite a lot of changes recently, I hope this does not disturb you too much, and that you won't be afraid to ship a beta with these changes. For a final release this wouldn't make any sense, but since it's only a beta and we have a pretty good level of unit tests (around 70% according to emma report I ran a couple of hours ago), I personally still think getting a beta out really soon is a good thing for the project.
