Hi Jesse, Nice to note that there is some code available as part of apache ant tools and get to know your integration experience. To further think big.. does the forum member think that there should more such support from ant libraries to integrate with IDE's
e.g Query interface to know the list of targets, an approach to add virtual ant targets to any project (say if the project is JavaME project, the ant integration could add open emulator etc.) Some think in the scope of Ant Plugin Development Support API focused around IDE integration, so that these api could much richer and closure to ease IDE integration support. Jesse, I did not understand - (Calling into Ant code merely for browsing would be pose security and reliability issues.) , could pl. explain.
