:-) I'm not sure about your other patch. I'm not saying it is a bad patch, but I just don't know the code good enough to see if it has any other implications without further investigation. That is why I think it is a bit risky to integrate it in the 2.2.0 release.
But I think we can create a 2.2.1 release soon (read: some months) after this release where this issue can be fixed, together with some other patches that are still waiting in our JIRA?
