Hello Why is it that nothing has happened on bug #41039 ( https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41039)? I was bit by this problem, and it cost a lot of sweat just to figure out what was going wrong. If I apply the patch uploaded for the bug however, ant works as expected. My particular case is that I invoke ant from Python on Windows Server 2003 SP2, and need to check ant's exit code.
