It's been 3 days since the vote started so I think it is safe to call it.
Looks like majority prefer the status-quo so we will continue with the
current way of squashing the pull request along with review commits. One
thing that has been called out in the discussion is when there are multiple
contributors to a pull request, the attribution be preserved for the
individuals and this case will result in multiple commits. This has been
the operating procedure but hasn't been explicitly stated. We will update
the instructions on http://apex.incubator.apache.org/contributing.html to
include this.
