Hi,
if your Java - UNO - component depends on another jar which is no UNO component, then you need to declare this dependency in the manifest.
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jar/manifest/downman.html
StarOffice/OOo do not use the CLASSPATH environment variable. For TESTING purposes you could also use tools->options->Openoffice->Java: Class path button. However, sooner or later we will remove this possibility.
Another way is to put that jar into the jre/lib/ext directory of the JRE which is used by OOo.

Hi,
At the moment I have a strange problem. For my java addon I use an external jar. This jar is in the classpath for compiling the javafiles. Afterwards I put the manifest and the class files into a jar file and create the zip file for the addon from it and the xcu files.
It has worked!
But as I started to resume developing, I get java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError (during OOo event dispatching) for exactly that external jar when executing the addon.
Now my question is: Do I have to put the jar into the zip (I think not, because it worked last week)? If not, what could be the problem? The jar is still in the classpath and still at the same location.
I really hope someone can help me, I dont even understand this. :(
