thank you, I managed to find some information on the ooforum site about 
this too, and eventually managed to shut down copy/cut/paste and paste 
special using the commands.xcu file...

(the openoffice.org site seems to be working again, must be a lot of 
OO2.0 bet trafic there now)

however the slots.sxc file found on the openoffice.org file perheps 
needs to be updated...  the date on the file is december 2001!!!!
