Did you try to do this manually ? I did, it is impossible to insert a 
table crossing the page margin.

But you can insert a frame anywhere, and then insert a table in this 
frame. Now you may have a table exceeding the margins. Anchor frame to 
the page if you want to cross top/bottom margins. Of course the frame 
border can be set to zero width to make it invisible.
