I think that it might have been better to use a new registry key for the bootstrap mechanism, but OTOH I don't know exactly why this wasn't done. Maybe there was a reason for this. And at the end it wouldn't change the result largely, would it? The "-net" installation in OOo1.x or - more precicely - the fact that it isn't the default installation procedure is really a pain, I'm really lucky that we got rid of that.
