Writer *can* open HTML documents directly. You must provide the correct filter name to prevent OOo from creating a "Web document".
Thanks. It was the other way round. A Writer/Web document can't be saved as .sxw.
If I open the HTML file as a Writer document, in the "Western" case I get a document with the HTML lang as the "Western" OOo language. In the CJK case I get a doc with U.S. English as the "Western" language and the HTML lang as the CJK language. Likewise with CTL. If I save as sxw, the language recorded in meta.xml is en-US in the CJK and CTL cases.
How are the root CJK language and the root CTL language of the Writer document exposed in the API?
