you should look to the example
<sdk>/examples/BasicAndDialogs/CreatingDialogs/SampleDialog.java. The
example creates a dialog with the awt interfaces. It'S UNO ;-), it's
more or less the same from Python. Probably you can figure out from the
example how you can create a simple dialog.
I wrote a rather complete project using pyUNO last year
pyXray, with button, lists ... aso ...
