Hi,

the OfficeBean has changed with OO2.0 and the old BasicOfficeBean stuff isn't longer supported because it was never published as final (it was a SDK example). So if you have any problems with the old Bean it is probably a good idea to migrate to OOo2.0 and adapt your application to the new Bean. Problems with this new Bean can be adressed by submitting an issue.

Hello Kay,

um... it looks like I should file this in the issueZilla,
because obviously nobody heard about such a problem yet and
I did not find a similiar issue up to now.

In short: the OOo process vanishes without a "beep" (no "An unexpected error has occurred" dialog, no crash reporter).
That happens with Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_06-b03,
mixed mode) using OOo version 1.1.0RC1 and 1.1.4.
The only thing I see on the console of the Java app is two printf's
that are most probably being done by vclxtoolkit.cxx.

As I am always working onsite for the customer (EP) I cannot do anything with debuggers :-(
But I will try to figure out if this is connected to the old version
of the BasicOfficeBean being used in this project.

Kind regards
   Jürgen

Hi Juergen,

could you give some more details? E.g.
- platform
- desktop
- exact version

Independent of that, does vanishing mean that the process terminates? Or is it just closing all windows? If it terminates, which seems to be unexpected, could you attach a debugger to see what's going wrong? Also it seems, that the crash reporter is not coming up ...

Hi all,

I tried to find something in the issueZilla, but it appears to be unavailable. My problem is that I have a Java application that uses OOo

1.1.0 / OOo
1.1.4.

If I open the help from the main menu and close it again,

OOo will simply

vanish without popping up an error or throwing and exception.

Has anybody seen such a problem???

Kind regards
  Jürgen
