What are those reasons?  What I could imagine is that you obtained some Java
code from somewhere that was compiled with Java 5, without any backwards
compatibility switches for javac, so that the resulting class files only
load in a Java 5 JVM.  Note that any OOo-related Java code built by Sun
Hamburg would not have this deficiency (or else it would be a bug).

OK..  If I had time I would produce a 'top ten' list of the reasons I was
being stupid..   But, there is never enough time to do the things you want
