You can, but (as i remembered) only after you placed the frame on a document .
Sorry to be dramatic, but I desperately need a
workaround for this issue:

I have asked before, but got no replies.

Like the issues says it is impossible to ascertain the
real height of a automatic height frame. But I know
this info is known to the application, you can see it
in the status bar?! Is there no way I can get this
information by dispatching commands? Or any other
mechanism?
