What language are trying todo this?
Do want to reduce the pixel-size when importing or only when exporting?
Why do I ask. If you are using e.g. Java and you want to reduce
pixel-sizes you may use another lib or Java itself and hand-over the
reduced image to OO?
Just a thought if OO doesn't provide what you want.
Tom
A user must have the posibility to chose with wath resolution he will
place a picture and later o also chose what will be the output Resolution.
Gaving information (who is pressent in every ImageFile) about thet
number of pixels and the saved-DPI is of heigh importance to produce
doc's with a proffesional quality, for the WEB, LaserPrinters an Press.
These different outputs have totaly different needs .
For the web we needs 72-96 pixels/inch
For a Laserprinter we need 150-170 pixels/inch
For a press-quality (CMYK) we need 250-300 pixesls/inch
Having control over this things bring OO a big stap higher as a tool to
produce Docs who can be used in different ouput envoriments!!!!!
I am prety sure OO can handle this things, its just not documented,
I code everyting in OObasic and wount for the ease of use keep it as
close a posible to OO without using other libs en Java stuff.
