Julien's already said it: The 65kChars limit is found in a lot of places in OOo. Filing an issue will probably be a waste of time. It seems all of those 65K issues are dup'ed to http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=17171 so you might as well add your comments there and set yourself to CC on this issue.
