FormDesignMode?"
Dispatches can be very helpful if you have to execute a command but AFAIK you
cannot use them in order to obtain information about the internal status of
the application.
So, I think that we still need of "regular" API's for this.
of course, that should be still our goal. We know that we cover a lot of
areas with the current API but we know also that we have a lot of gaps
where API's are currently missing.
Paolo pointed out that dispatches are often really useful and can close
the gaps but he also pointed out that simply checks are often not so
easy to achieve. Probably in this case it would be possible to add a
StatusListener to this command and can check the IsEnabled field of the
...frame.FeatureStateEvent. But it's probably much more work.
I suggest that if we identify a missing API that we at least submit an
feature request for it. Of course the decision if and when we implement
it depends on many other things but we should try it.
