I'm looking at various options for developing an add-on in java for OOo.
I've had a look at the SDK and tried a few examples which worked
reasonably well, but felt a bit "unjavaish".
I've found some wrappers which promise to be more "javaish" and relieve
the programmer from recurring work:

And I've found a discussion about this on this list, which talks about
an effort within the OOo project:

Has this lead to the kind of API we have now? Or is there some code in
development to be looked at?
Does anyone here use one of the mentioned wrappers (or another one) and
could comment on it?
