normal, just remove the old version.
I've also tried to use the official version available on the official website http://www.openoffice.org, but I can't install it for the same reason. I've tried to import UNO package in the ubuntu version anyway, but that doesn't work. Is the only way to uninstall installed version and replace it by the official one ? I'd rather install the official one without removing the other one...
There are some tricks for this, but I can't remember them. I replaced the ubuntu version by the official one: it's easier.
