You should not need to use storeToURL() on an unsaved document.
storeAsURL() = save the document
storeToURL() = save a separate copy of the document
If you only need a Writer8 version, then use instead storeAsURL() with
same arguments.
Thanks will try the "store AS" and come back when the error still pops
up :-)
If your main storage is in another format e.g. in OpenDocument, then
storeAsURL() in that format before saving a copy in Writer8 format. If
later you want to modify the current document, update your main
storage with a simple store()
