With the SDK GUI example UnoMenu.java I'm not sure if this is a feature
or an issue, so I would like to hear a more qualified opinion before
submiting one.
After a weekend trying different things, I realize that
when the application terminates with System.exit(), it crashes OOo. To
notice this, there must be a running instance before executing the
example.
This sure is a bug. Which platform are you running on? I will see to
give your reproduction recipe a try to see if I spot the cause of the
problem.

right now I reproduced this on Linux/WinXP once again. I send you a copy
of the crash reports to your mail.
I was using OOo SDK 2.3 and OOo 2.3.1 (but also happens with 2.4.0 RC1).
I just started OOo,
opened a Writer doc,
set the SDK env. and build the GUI examples in SDK 2.3,
then run UnoMenu,
closed the window == the client app. terminated
OOo crashed
