Hello,
For some reason, when adding a border to a picture the spacing to
Contents is set to 0,5mm. This is a sort off nonsence because in most
cases we want a border around a picture and not a whitespace between the
picture and the border.
I suppose the fefault settings of this UI behavior are stored somewhere
in a xcu file. I can change settings in a xcu file with the API, but
WHERE can i find the right xcu file or is there a general technique
to locate this UI settings?
More specific i try to find the UI settings for the
Picture-manipulating-dialog
Thanks for any hint
if you're going to use the API to browse all configuration node paths,
it will take you a long time. IMO it is faster to check the
configuration files in a good editor with syntax highlighting and code
folding (in KDE you have KWrite, NetBeansIDE is also nice [in both cases
you have to configure them both to recognize the .xcu extension as XML])
You will find the share configuration layer under
[/opt/openoffice.org2.4]/share/registry/data/org/openoffice
and the user configuration under
[/home/ariel/.openoffice.org2]/user/registry/data/org/openoffice
You may find also interesting the schemata, in
/opt/openoffice.org2.4/share/registry/schema
Once you find what you want this way, you can use the configuration API
to manipulate it.

Ariel
