It is a bug of Windows - i guess, you use the windows own dialogs?
Change to OpenOffice.org own dialogs (Extras - options - OOo - general)
and it will work :-)
It's a bug from OpenOffice 2.x. It works on 1.1.x with Windows dialogs.
