In OOo2.x we had support for Java Applets in OOo and so we already have
an example how to embed Java windows. The code doing that can be found
in the sj2 module and in sfx2/source/doc/applet.cxx. Perhaps this can
give you some hints how to do that.

Be aware, however, that support for Java applets was ended. All code
related to applets will sooner or later be removed.
Of course. But that doesn't mean that we can't keep at least the code to
embed Java windows. Or ...?
Well one could, but I am not sure if it is practical. The applet code we
have may not exactly work to embed any Java Window. Also one needs to
find out what odf allows. And then of course one wants to make sure that
embedding really works. This cannot be achieved by just having a quick
look at the code when cleaning up the applet stuff.
If you care for embedding Java Windows then make this an official
feature. I will then keep my hands off until a decision has been taken.
