AFAIK there is no API for that :-(
something like an API for switching between color tables would be nice,
besides allowing installation of (and use of/switch between) different palette
by extensions.
An infra-solution would be that the extensions uses its own color palette,
allowing the user to customize it (more drawbacks: there is no API for using
OOo's Color dialog/tab page). You can use an xcu to store the data, or a
simple text file, if you don't want to bother with the API.
