I worked a bit on a PDFexport java application, that was created from Andre Schnabel first. I wonder now if there is no property / option to tell OOo that it should not export the whole document to PDF. I hope it is posible to print only a selection of pages (like in the PDF export dialog). I can't find such a property in the wiki page. Is something like this living in the UNO interface?
