Volker,

This "TargetResolution" is of no meaning for you , i use it to show the "future" dimensions of the graphic when published in a magazine, and there we need 240 pixels per puplisched inch That results in some comments (size indicator in columns) in the "FileInfo" listbox of the dialog

For showing the content of the picked file, OO uses there own "thumbnail" mechanisme i think ?

You can make everithing "bigger" (even full screen) and reasonable readable by enlarging the dialog (using the UI-cursor) and OO remember the latest dimensions.

hope it helps

Hi Fernand, I got it working. There are some questions left.

After I had figured out the global variables and constants, I wondered about the value of "TargetResolution". I set it to 90, but also to some others, without any difference on screen. I also tried some different width and height settings. No effect.

This preview thingy is sufficient for fotos, but not so much for invoice scans. You cannot see the figures. So I think I'd have to dive into the graphics part of the API to get a preview window working with, say, nearly one third of the screen height or higher. If that is possible. It would be by far the better solution than opening the file with an extern program.

It would be nice of you to give me some advice where to start and to look for.

Regards
Volker
