The Google Summer of Code team is putting together a virtual Contributor Summit for Friday, June 3rd to kick off our 2022 program! We’re aiming to inspire and inform our Contributors about the GSoC program and how they can make the most of their summer and become integrated with our open source community before the coding period begins. We are looking for presenters for our summit who can share their experiences as a mentor and/or as a former student. Presenters do not have to be a current 2022 mentor to participate. We welcome all your experiences - past and present! We’d like to impart some helpful tips, tricks, and examples to help set up our Contributors for a successful Summer of Code. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, please read on :). Summit presenter details We are asking our presenters to pre-record their 3-5 minute talk and attend the Q&A session during the Contributor Summit. If you are interested, please* fill out this form *by Friday, April 22nd. By April 29th, we’ll let you know if you’ve been selected to present at the summit. We may reach out to you to ask for more detail about your talk or if we have folks with a bit of overlap in their topics we may wish to see if you have an additional point you could talk about. Please see the timeline below for additional dates and AIs for presenters. Friday, May 6: Sign and email back video/presenting waiver by EOD Week of May 9-16: Recording sessions available (for folks who do not want to record their talks themselves). Times to be confirmed end of April/early May Monday, May 16: All recorded presentations due by EOD Friday, June 3: Contributor Summit - Live Q&A Sessions. Presenters available for 1 hour between 8:30am - 12pm PT. Actual time slots will be determined by early May Any questions?
