Recently, community users have reported that when searching for "APISIX" on Baidu, an advertisement from Alibaba Cloud appears with the title: "Alibaba Cloud - APISIX - Unified Gateway", and the description: "APISIX_Traffic Gateway, Microservices Gateway, Security Gateway, and AI Gateway all in one. High performance, secure, and AI-friendly unified gateway."
Such advertisements may mislead users into believing that Alibaba Cloud’s API Gateway commercial product is built on Apache APISIX, which is not the case. The Apache APISIX Project Management Committee (PMC) hereby states: The “APISIX” trademark belongs to the Apache Software Foundation(ASF). Alibaba Cloud and its API Gateway products have no official relationship or technical connection with Apache APISIX. The Apache APISIX community is committed to the development of open-source software and welcomes companies to use and extend APISIX in a legal and compliant manner.
