You cannot link with both > but I doubt it's the issue here, the header-files are identical? i'm sorry: i assumed that there would be differences, what with the upgrade-path that must be followed when doing libxml1 to libxml2 development upgrading. if that's not the case, sorry for my erroneous assumptions. luke
