I don't hold copyright here, so I cannot speak of a licence change. This is something only Nick can do.
I would personally be thrilled to see this happen (although the driver still wouldn't be distributed by ASF) and I would make sure I bug Joe to build new APU with the driver included for all Fedora folks out there :-)
