One of our best sources of platform-info are our platform experts, not all of whom have cycles to participate in dev/become committers.
What would folks think of a wiki.apache.org/apr/ for recording research notes, platform observations, gridding out features and support, and so forth? Commits must come to the devs and must be overseen, I'd honestly suggest wiki changes go to dev@, but I'd be ok with [EMAIL PROTECTED] if folks really think the segregation is needed. If < 50% committers subscribe, we'd close the wiki since it's not valued. Bill
