Hi, As you'll see from the commits I've finally been testing using JCR to store Archiva's derived artifact metadata and custom information. It's present on trunk, but not the one bound into the default webapp.
I've created a branch that switches over: https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/archiva/branches/MRM-1327-jcr-backend-default Can I request people to review the changes and test this, and offer comments? I'm going to start some performance testing now to compare 1.3.3, 1.4 + file, 1.4 + JCR and see how they differ on speed & memory. Based on those results, I'll bring it back here to discuss whether we make that the permanent default, or whether more work should be done to make the file-based store more robust / performant.
