The OMG isn't really set up to deal with open source groups. The only
non-commercial memberships they have are Government ($12,000) and University
($500). When they do RFPs asking for contributions, they explicitly require
the submitters to commit to a *commercial* product release incorporating the
technology. Basically their whole structure and process assumes that
members are commercial vendors.

If you decide to join and end up coming to the Boston meeting (June 23-26),
let me know. I'm only 50 km away and will probably be there for part of it.

I'm not sure there's any particular ArgoUML agenda which needs to be pushed
the OMG right now (other than the global issue of providing for a way for
open source projects to engage), but even timely reporting of OMG activities
which affect ArgoUML would be a big help. As Markus said, we do attempt to
track this stuff already, but somewhat indirectly through third parties
typically.
