You are most welcome to add the tool support we need to the tool set-up.
Otherwise I can only say yes, I am against putting restrictions on the
developers' work to improve the code. Some do big important improvements
like you, Bob, Michiel, and Ludo. Others, like me, do small improvements
that in comparison might fall under the "necessary"-line. As long as the
changes are improvements I encourage the work. What constitutes an
improvement is of course almost always very subjective but that is
another discussion.
