Just wanted to express the interest of many folks in ER Diagram support for argouml. It appears that this could be an excellent solution for what had been discussed, for example, by folks over on the Aptana forums as a solution for ER Diagram and UML support for RadRails in Ruby on Rails. We're *VERY* hopeful to see the ability to graphically design ER Diagrams and have that reflected back in the Ruby on Rails migrations for the quick ability to add to, enhance and alter databases (I think it is envisioned that we could have a slider that would efficiently move back and forth between migrations and see these reflected in the ER Diagram).
It would also be very useful to see things such as validations, etc. supported. I'm sure that not all of this will be put in place by the argouml developers, however the ER Diagram support is desperately needed in such a way that it will be flexible for these other uses in Eclipse derivative applications. Please feel free to check out the Aptana forum: http://www.aptana.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=16&sid=26ce950bf372e48caab5eac502d08b61 They are working on very similar things over at NetBeans as well it appears from reading through Tor's blog, etc. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/ER-Diagram-Support---Ruby-on-Rails-Usage-in-Aptana-RadRails-tf3528836.html#a9847616 Sent from the argouml - dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
