That sounds cool. I agree it would be great if we could find some synergy between your project and the argouml-sql project. > The plug-in uses a UML profile for modeling SQL and provides > support for generating models from a database catalog and > generating SQL to create and update a catalog from a model. > It provides support for generic, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL > datatbases. The profile is somewhat similar to the UML > profile used by Rational for modeling SQL. I attached a > document on the profile if you are interested. I only got as far as the title page before being stopped by the proprietary information notices. I'm not sure how the other developers feel, but I'm not really interested in receiving proprietary information that I haven't explicitly signed for (and in this I'm not interested in executing an NDA just to review the document). Any chance of getting a sanitized version of the document? Or perhaps just describe how it differs from Scott Ambler's profile http://www.agiledata.org/essays/umlDataModelingProfile.html ? > There are several hurdles. If you change the order of things and publish the sources under an open source license first, before they're cleaned up, you might be able to get others to help with the cleanup.
