Even if we don't tackle full encapsulation/isolation at this point, I think it's important that we work on reducing the degree of coupling between (Tigris)GEF and ArgoUML. They are far too intimately entwined right now.
I agree with this point and it is of course a good general principle. I'll try and give this further thought. This is not the intent of the GSOC project though.
