Hi all,

I think that having the discussion on mailing lists it's better than
forums for keeping in constant touch with the developers. The forums
require an active participation (loading some page, log in...) and the
mailing lists only need to check mail, a thing that we make often.

Also, in the past I participated in some other open source projects
that have an IRC channel on FreeNode. I think this is a great way to
looking for collaboration between the developers of an opensource
project, and maybe a way to make more people interested in the ArgoUML
community.

What do you think about this?

Hello Thomas!

There is a Discussion Forum function available at Tigris. I have hidden it
for all the ArgoUML projects because I have thought that between the mailing
lists, the issues and the documentation/code, there is nothing else to
discuss.

Should we eventually discontinue the dev mailing list and start working in
the forum instead?

Shall I bring forth the function so that we can test it?

        /Linus

modeling tool that supports Netbeans MDR as the model repository. The
AndroMDA community prefers MagicDraw, but ArgoUML is among the tools that is
well suited to use for AndroMDA. One big drawback behind MagicDraw is, that
currently you cannot use ArgoUML to model cartridges (the modules that
control the code generation, e.g. BPM4Struts or EJB), because of
http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4077 .
Also there's a problem (and a workaround) to load UML profiles for easier
modeling, because of
http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3571 (but
I consider this an AndroMDA issue how they build the profile).
